Back in October we blogged about what was happening in regards 2012.

This news subsequently opened up communication on Twitter that led to the creation of a Google Group to discuss ideas, and ultimately a plan that would allow the 2012 conference to take place.

We then announced that we would make a decision on the conference based on feedback from two partner meetings at the end of November. Initial feedback was positive but

We've had a fairly large number of enquires about the status of Scotch on the Rocks 2012.

The quick answer is ... we don't know.

The longer answer is as follows....

At the end of a hugely successful 2011 conference we had around £8,000 worth of equipment stolen from the conference hotel, which ultimately put a huge downer on things. It's technically still an ongoing case, so I can't comment too much more but it ultimately made us evaluate whether we want to keep running the conference.

For those who were planing to attend but just hadn't got around to buying their ticket.... unfortunately we're full. Slammed to capacity.

All I can say is make sure you buy early for 201

So how are we doing? Well, with 96 days to go until the conference, we've now sold 80% of the available tickets and we're absolutely ecstatic with the progress so far.

For those still toying with coming, or holding off till nearer the time, we'd suggest you act before January 4th. On that day the UK VAT rate will increase from 17.5% to 20%, and as a result the overall ticket price will need to increase.

The same applies to those holding
